Beginning January 2008, The Art Underground will be located in the lower level of 901 Front Street. The glass foyer leading to the lower level provides natural light to our studio. This custom studio has been specially designed to accommodate our theater, music, dance and visual arts classes in two unique spaces.
The Create Space
The “Create” Space holds all art classes and some music and theater classes. This studio is colorful and creative, with a large art sink. The room promotes flexibility in layout and participants, given a variety of sizes of adjustable height tables, stools and chairs.
The Main Studio
The location for all dance classes and some music and theater classes is the larger Main Studio. A fully sprung, multi-purpose, maple dance floor and mirrors provide a professional dance experience for dancers as well as an inviting environment for theater and music classes.
Patio Waiting Area
Outside of our studio, you will find an open patio with café tables and chairs – a nice spot to wait for children involved in the classes or to relax before or after adult classes. Adjoining the patio, there is an information booth with information about the activities at The Art Underground and other art opportunities in the area.
