Animal Rights Animal Rights Defining the Issue: A propagation of contemplation insisting that all the animals have a right to live their own lives and they should be safe from human’s cruelty and brutality. Slaughtering and mishandling of animals should be abandoned. Technological advancement around the globe has brought many positive and negative outcomes. It has given a lot of ease to the humans but alongside, animals are suffering from industrialization and revolutionary changes. Rapid growth in the past century or so has modernized the traditional food intake process. People are now more attracted and concerned on fast food. In order to save time and digest quickly, fast food intake can be seen more around the globe and thus animals are utilized to fulfill the hunger of humans. Farming and upbringing of animals is increase but there are various unnatural techniques applied to have rapid growth. Even killings of infant animals are also observed just to make sure that food supplies remain intact. Wildlife is also affected due to deforestation and killings of animals brutally. This scenario is certainly creating immense problems for animals as their rights are violated immensely. This research paper will demonstrate that in which sectors particularly the violation of animal rights is enlarged, the outcomes of this brutality and its impact on the environment. Presentation of case along with the analysts’ reviews and recommendations will be covered to make this research paper strong and powerful. Case Data: Technological advancements have lead to the usage of machine power more than the man power. Similarly previously animals were also utilized as a labor force so that workload would be distributed. Animals were the main source of carrying luggage, transportation of goods and domestic traveling. Machineries have replaced the work of animals now and human’s role also has been decreased. Now the purpose of animals usually in industries is for productivity. Farms have been established by the industrialists where animals are kept so that productivity measures can be taken through their generation (Singer, 2005). The industrialization revolution has certainly decreased the value of both animals and men. Animals were kept with great care and affection pre-industrialization so that everyday processing would be made easy and quick. Before the evolution of substantial machinery, animals hold an eminent place in the industries, where they were employed to for the luggage purpose primarily. After the revolutionary machinery inception, animals rights started to violate drastically. The usage of animals remained for the fulfillment of human appetite. It’s a natural phenomenon that for human survival, animal’s meat is an eminent ingestion. Thus steps were taken in order to bring animals into the industries for the production purpose. However there should be limitations created to setup and calculate these activities. Raising the importance of this issue globally is necessary as this may lead to demolish the whole generation of animals and unnatural upbringing can escort to horrifying results (Regan & Singer, 1989). Alternatives: Presence of practical alternatives must be readily available so that there must be a contingency plan for the solution of this radical problem. It is necessary for the understanding of masses that animals posses a living right and they should be hunted and brutally utilized for the sake of filling appetite. These alternatives will bring a view that how to overcome this core issue. Rowlands (2009) illustrated that there must be organic farming awareness programs so that animals would live in a far more natural environment. Presence of natural environment ensures safe and strong animal health which is necessary for humans. A healthy animal meat can be beneficial for human health and thrive. The farms created in factory are not appropriate for animals as vigorous nurture cannot be insured there. The usage of meat must be reduced too so that killings of animals would be minimal. The essence however remains consciousness among masses. Research indicates the raising animals in the human established farms report that animals have a sound mental and physical health. There life is certainly more and they are powerfully built. The meat of those animals is always best for humans as special care and affection is laid by the administrator. Organic farming is thus the name of the game, the upbringing of an animal is vital & crucial and this mechanism is totally neglected in factory farming. In factory farming there are various animals and they are not given proper attention. The employees deployed to manage the animals are also not intrinsically motivated and they just perform their duties to fulfill their routine job (Munro, 2012). Jacobson & Lindblom (2012) depict that various sorts of medication, injections are also given to the animals in factory farms which can be not suitable at times. Element of freedom for animals is certainly more in the organic farming while in factory farming, animals are kept as prisoners. Organic farming also focuses on giving each animal importance while in organic farming, there is no such scenario. Therefore organic farming holds a prestigious place. Resources are utilized even more in factory farming but in organic farming limited resources are consumed. Some of the usages of resources are indicated below: Deforestation takes place yearly in a colossal amount so that animals’ farms feed would be cultivated. Grains consumption by the animals is certainly more than the meat output. Water utilization is enormous by the animals thus resources are unnecessarily consumed at such a large amount. Billions of animals are slaughtered every year. These facts demonstrate that how the natural resources are destroyed due to the massive factory farming. Deforestation, wastage of water and slaughtering of animals at a large amount is not an issue which can be easily digested. These eye opening facts reveal that meat consumption by humans must be minimized as this involves colossal natural resources mishandling. Vegetables and pulses are sufficient to fulfill human appetite. Meat must be utilized fortnightly or on monthly basis. Decision Criteria: Society overall has to take a big step forward to stop these exploitation of resources as this can trail to disastrous end. World is facing problems of drinking water and for the safe and unpolluted environment, forests are necessary (Westly, 2010). Factory animal farms are demolishing these resources on a large scale and it’s the moral responsibility of society to raise their voice on such core subjects. Following decisions must be made: Routine practice of meat intake must be revised as this does not escort to a healthy life. Nutrients in meat are essential but massive intake can be dangerous. Financial stability will be observed after the reduced usage of meat. Educating people through awareness is the name of the game. Moral Relativism: It varies from society to society as every civilization has its own set of beliefs, ideas and culture. The role of moral relativist is very important in this regard as they have directly or indirectly influence on a certain society. Moral relativism basically discusses the difference between virtues and practices carried out in a society. Meat intake in the view of a certain societies is considered essential and a part of their belief. Bluntly indicating that its intake must be reduced can lead to an unpleasant scenario. Firmly propagating the information with the usage of resourceful facts and figures is fundamental to realize the significance of this issue (Regan, 2011). Natural Law: Martin (2010) illustrates the theory of natural law that each and everything present in this universe is under the direct control of God. He precisely knows how to administrate the world, ensure resources and manage possessions. Critically examining natural law illustrates that it is against the factory farming. Factory farming takes the fundamental rights of animals to live freely and thus is in support of the natural rights of animals. The focus of natural law is basically on Eternal law which clearly demonstrates the depicted scenario. Divine Command Theory: This theory demonstrates that every living being has the right to live freely according to own desires. Killings of innocents are immoral and depraved act. These are the clear declarations from the God Almighty, so in order to respect and praise the Almighty, innocent killings of billings of animals yearly must be ended. The theory insists not to hurt anyone physically or verbally and this thus safeguards animal rights. The followers of this theory must acknowledge the meaning of this theory and should ask for its implementation in true spirits (Adams, 2012). Evolution of Alternatives: From the discussion above it is clear that there are only two valid options which can be adopted in order to protect the animal rights. The consumption of meat must be minimized by the individuals. Rapid increase in the utilization of meat encourages factory owners to increase animal farming and slaughtering of more animals. Consumption of meat must be reduced up to twice a month. Billions of animals slaughtering every year is a devastating and shocking scenario and thus awareness to propagate this essential message is necessary. Bringing this issue to the masses is the responsibility of NGO’s and activists so that this scenario would be reduced. Organic farming must be promoted instead of factory farming. Factory farming is injurious, damaging and harmful for health as there are various medications given to the animals so that they would be physically strong. The medications are adaptation of unnatural process which appears that if animal is physically sound apparently but from inside, it’s not. Eating factory animal’s meat is not suitable for human beings. The utilization of natural resources is enormous in factory farming, billions of gallons of water are consumed by the animals and factory farming does not have a check and balance to the utilization of water. Grains cultivation for factory farm animals requires gigantic fields for which deforestation takes place thus assassination of healthy environment takes place. Organic farming is thus the only option. Recommendation: In the current era, moral values are declining in our society and people no more follow ethics, moral values and principles. This is one of the biggest dilemmas of this century and this will escort to destruction of the society. Slaughtering of numerous animals just to fulfill appetite has no moral justification as humans have several other options to satisfy hunger. Karma states that what goes around comes back around, so humans must be aware that innocent killings of billions of animals will one day lay huge impact on their lives. Floods, earthquakes are a clear indication that the law of karma is in action, so still it’s time for human race to reduce such massive slaughtering. Organic farming must be supported as the animals brought up through this process are healthy for human lives. Their meat is healthy and appropriate for the human body. Every human has the ability to think and react accordingly, so neglecting factory farms animal meat must be done and organic farming must be supported. Educating the social circle through the word of mouth is the most powerful resources of all. References Adams, R. M.
