As an individual who is focused at improving my academic performance, I usually attend music concerts in various places in order to feel relaxed an aspect that improves my concentration. Additionally, I am focused at obtaining adequate information prior to attending the concerts. I usually obtain such information from the internet as well as bill boards that are in most cases elected in major towns and highways. This paper seeks to discuss my experience during my attendance of Rock in Rio 5 concert in September 2013. The concert and the emotional side of it Rock in Rio is an event that originated from Brazil. Being held in series, the concerts attract large audience who come face to face with well known musicians from various countries. Rock in Rio 5 which is one of the series of Rock in Rio was held on 2013. Some of the notable musicians that participated in the concerts included Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Muse and Bon Jovi among others. Having started in Friday 13 September in Brazil, the 7 days event brought together more that 1 million people from different parts of the world. During the first day, David Guetta, Beyonce and Ivete Sangalo did their presentations during the Palco Mundo an event that attracted large audience especially among the college and university students. Majority of the people who arrived at the concerts were attracted by the performance of the three artists who are famous locally and internationally. Based on the fact that a large section of the audience were aware of the songs that were sang by Beyonce, the audience was able to sing along with her an aspect that made the event to be very lively especially in the first day. Additionally, the event was made to be lively due to the colorful decorations that were in the entire place as well as the colorful design garments that were worn by the artists as well as the audience. Other notable presentations that made the concert to be lively and not easily forgettable were done in Saturday 14 September. On that day during Palco Mundo, various Americans rock bands did live presentations that left the audience asking for more. One of the notable bands was the Thirty Second to Mars .The band which is based in Los Angeles, presented their newly launched album known as Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams. Based on the demand from the audience the group also performed the album This is War. During the presentation of This is War, the band involved the audience an aspect that made the concert to be lively (Anderson, 2006). On its part, Thirty Second to Mars sold significant number of albums to the people who attended the concert. Other groups that participated in the concerts included Florence and the machine, Capital inicial and The offspring. On Sunday 15 September, the stage was set during Palco Sunset for artist to entertain the audience. Through the support of DJ Harvey and others, Alicia Keys and Timberlake took to the stage a presentation that was equally interesting especially among the youth who could sing along with the artists. Other artist who presented their numbers during Palco Mundo and Palco Sunset were Jota Quest, George Benson, Samuel Rosa, Aurea and Jessie J. As the concert continued, the size of the audience increased. This was based on the effective communication among the locals especially through the social media. Another notable aspect that characterized the concert was that majority of those attended were young people and middle aged individuals. On their part, the local businesses as well as US based McDonalds and Coca Cola Company experienced high demand of the food products such as hamburgers, pizza slices and beverages resulting to high sales and revenue. Rock in Rio 5 generated various emotions among the audience. While the local communities felt appreciated due to the large number of people who attended the event, every individual felt excited especially by the way the artist performed on the stage. Those who attended in order to dance and reduce body stress indicated high level of happiness during the performance by the bands. Additionally, the was a strong linkage among the attendants who could sing together with the artist such as Beyonce and Alicia Keys whose songs are known by many people globally. As the events continued day after day, where new artist performed the audience was thrilled resulting to some individuals even trying to go to the stage in order to dance with the artists. However, the security personnel were there to protect the artist from the large crowd who attended. The emotions among the among the artist’s fans were high to a level that some could be seen shedding tears of joy and happiness while the artist were performing or during the interview by the media personnel that were present. The business owners also portrayed happiness and joy as the result of high sales that they experienced during the concerts. It is vital to note that such concerts do not only generate happiness and benefits to the audience and the artists, but also the local firms are able to sell large amount of their brands to the people who attend the occasions. As part of marketing strategies, the local firms and international companies usually use such concerts to advertise and promote their brands an aspect that result to a strong positive customer brand relationship. During the Rock in Rio 5 concerts, one could see various individuals holding a certain brand on beverage while most ladies enjoyed their pizza slices while happily chatting with the friends. The spirit of patriotism by the local as well as the security during the event made the visitors to enjoy the place. This was depicted by the way the audience moved around without fear of being attacked by criminals. Thus, the key cause if the happiness among the attendees was the security that the authority provided not only due to the famous artists who attended the concerts but also for the sake of the audience. Through free intermingling of people from different countries and race, there was an exchange of social information. This implies that apart from becoming friends in the social media sites, most individuals who attended are now able to communicate and share ideas that touch on other aspects of life. This implies that during and after the concert, string and sustainable friendship was a key aspect that was experienced among those attended. After intermingling during the concerts, many people came to appreciate the diversity that exists in the society. Majority of the attendants realized that without accepting the fact that some members of the society have talents that we don’t have, we can not live an enjoyable life. For example, the musicians that presented their albums during the concert impacted on the souls of many people whop had come there to seek happiness and reduce their stressful conditions. My feelings and the environment Rock in Rio 5 concert is an event that had positive impact on my feelings. Having being busy for quite some time prior to the event, I was feeling exhausted and I needed something that could make my mind to feel relaxed. This was thus an opportunity that I could not overlook. Through dancing to the tune, I felt happy and relaxed. Normally, I like presentation by bands such as Thirty Second to Mars. After its presentation, I felt happy an aspect that made me to look for more of the group albums. The concert provided an opportunity to meet with renowned artist such Justin Timberlake and Beyonce among others an aspect that made me to feel satisfied since I was always looking for such an opportunity. Just like other people who attended the concert, I could sing along my favorite artists an aspect that made me to feel as part and parcel of the show. As the result of the dancing and jumping during the presentation by the artists, I was able to relax my muscles felt relaxed an aspect that improved my spirit and provided me with an opportunity to socialize with other people who attended the concert (Lauren, 2014). Another feeling that made me to admire the concert was that I was able to increase the number of friends in my face book account. Based on the fact that such events attract large number of individuals from various places, one is provided with an ample chance through which he or she is able to intermingle with other people from different localities. In my case, I was able to meet individuals from different states, race and color. Personally, I like to gather information that touches on the lives of people from various cultural backgrounds. Such information does not only include political opinions, religious belief and information technology but also on the global challenges among the young people. As the result of eager to get the information, I like going to social places either alone or with some of my colleagues. Rock in Rio 5 concert was a major event that exposed me to the cultural and social practices that looked interesting to me. As an individual attendant among thousands who went to the concert, I felt that I value diversity that exists in our contemporary society. My feeling towards individuals who display their talent in order to develop them was positive. If young people in the society can be allowed to pursue their talents by being provided an opportunity such as the Rock in Rio 5, they will be motivated an aspect that will have a positive impact on their future. Another major aspect that made me to feel influenced after the concert was the manner in which the presenters entertained the audience. Through their eagerness and dedication, the artists were able to provide the best to the audience an aspect that motivated me. Additionally, the way the concert halls were prepared and designed and beautified improved my knowledge on the impact of designs on the successes of a concert among other social events. With the increased number of concerts as musicians and actors aim at creating strong awareness on their albums, I felt that there is need for strong and positive among the upcoming musicians and those who are well established. This can be done by corroborating when launching a concert. In this way, the upcoming artists will benefit from strong awareness just like the established US musicians. The success of Rock in Rio 5 significantly depended on the conducive environment that was provided by the organizers at Cidade do Rock, Brazil. First, attractive colors and banners made the place very attractive that individuals at far distances could be attracted. The lighting system of the facilities and the surrounding were adequate thus ensuring proper visibility in the dancing hall as well as in the entire area. Based on the large number of audience that was expected to attend the concert, the organizers ensured adequate and secure parking space. As the result, the individuals who attended the concerts were not disturbed about their security as well as that of their vehicles. In order to ensure that concert attendants could easily access the facility, the organizers provided different entry thus ensuring that any possibility of a stampede was avoided. It is vital to note that while concerts are supposed to leave all the attendants satisfied and happy, individuals who attend the festivals should be concerned about the state of environment. During the Rock in Rio 5, cleanliness of the halls and the surroundings was a paramount issue that the organizers as well as the attendants observed. The large audience that attended the concert from Rio de Janeiro and other places in the world, required clean water, seats and dancing floors and other facilities. Through the support of the local communities and authority, the Cidade do Rock was kept in a situation that could not jeopardize the health of the artists as well as those who attended the concerts regardless of their ages. Conclusion From the above discussion, it is clear that music concerts are great avenues that one can use in order to relax and have the ability to tackle other challenging responsibilities. By attending concerts such as Rock in Rio 5, one is also able to meet renowned musicians from various countries and cultural background. It is vital to note that inviting some of the established musicians from example the ones from US in a private ceremony can be an expensive strategy. Thus, individuals who like music and who are focused at meeting famous musicians should take the opportunities that exist in the form of concerts either locally or in foreign countries. Rock in Rio 5, a concert tat was held at Cidade do Rock, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil hosted a number of US based musicians and other from other regions. On my part, I was able to relax both physically and mentally. In addition, the opportunity of meeting world class musicians and singing along them provided me with an enjoyable moment that left me asking for more numbers. Additionally, I was provided with an opportunity to meet more friends both in Rio de Janeiro as well through the social media.
