This policy is no other than globalisation. globalisation is a contemporary phenomenon that is known only during the contemporary period (Soros, 2002). Globalisation has created transnational corporations, multinational corporations, financial institutions of global scope and less governmental interventions in the domain of market economy (Soros, 2002). Furthermore, globalisation has paved the way for the massive movement/migration of people, thus changing the notion of national identities and cultural identities (Suarez- Orozco & Qin- Hilliard, 2004).

In this condition, the call for global peace and national security becomes more necessary as peace and security become one of the essential foundations for liberal democracy to thrive and prosper (Ramos, 2001). However, the ideals of global peace and national security have been for a decade under threat with the onset of the War against Terrorism (Kowalski, 2008). In the complex and interrelated scenario of globalization, advancements in computer and information technology, developments in the field of sciences, war on terrorism, global peace, and national security, a look into the integral role of the armed forces is necessary as it is the primordial sector of the society whose primary task is to secure the peace and order of the country (Ramos, 2001). Being in the front line in the fight for peace and security, armed forces of each country has incorporated organizational systems that are pertinent to the military as they try to perform and dispense their functions.

And one of which is the command and control system. The command and control system is defined as “the exercise of authority and direction by a properly designated commander over assigned and attached forces in the accomplishment of the mission.
